We know that creative activities are good for us. Neuroscience affirms this, and as a society we recognise it through the creative activities we encourage in our children.
But let's talk about YOU. When was the last time you tried a creative activity, just for the sake of it?
Creativity is a skill: the more you practice, the better you get. So, welcome to Writing for Creativity, where you will lose yourself and forget your worries, in the deeply rewarding process of creating a four stanza poem.
Yes ... you read that correctly. A poem! When, if ever, did you try to write a poem?
It doesn't matter how good, or how awful you think the end result is. What matters, what really really matters, is the deeply mindful process of creating something from nothing.
Beyond that, trust me, by the time we finish, you will have a completed poem because we're building it line by line, and I am there every step of the way.
The best part of this exercise, is that we use a recent real-life experience to inspire us. That can be illuminating, fun and at times, deeply healing. It's a very powerful and safe way of exploring how writing creatively can offer new insight, perspective and even solutions.
You're going to finish this workshop with a sense of calm and achievement, which will, in turn, leave you with a feeling of wellbeing.

Meet Cary J Hansson
Hi, my name is Cary and I'm fortunate enough to be able to tell you that I am one of the UK's best-selling authors of contemporary fiction.
